Providing a regular fix for jazz guitar enthusiasts in the North West

It’s an open-mic night, with all-comers welcome to turn up with a guitar* and take the stage before an appreciative audience of like-minded fans.

The evening starts promptly at eight, and runs on to a reluctant close around 11:00pm. Organised by a committee of dedicated jazz fans, these evenings can be unpredictable but they are always inspirational, with memorable performances from many musicians prominent on the North West jazz scene, as well as from highly-encouraged amateur players.

The atmosphere is warm and friendly so, if you are a jazz guitar aficionado, or you just love to listen, or you are just starting your journey with jazz guitar, Beaufort Jazz at the Junction is where you belong, on the first Monday of every month.

* Other instruments are very welcome too, it’s just that most of us are guitar nuts.

BlueGrass

Every Wednesday evening Nashville comes to Rainford, from 9pm onwards, downstairs.

A group of Junction regulars get together for a finger-picking toe-tapping banjo jam session.

Lots of old-time favourites in a true country style. Come and be amazed by the finger picking.

Electric Junction

Fill your electric vehicle with a barrel full of power

The Junction pub in Rainford is the first public house in Merseyside and Lancashire to provide free electric vehicle (EV) charge points for customers to use. The two chargers have been tastefully incorporated into 200 litre whiskey barrels located at the rear of the Junction pub.

The “EV Junction Sunday” takes place at The Junction car park  from 1pm on every last Sunday of the month (Currently Suspended). EV owners will show off their rides and educate ICE (internal combustion engine) owners on the positive virtues of EVs.
